Science Concept Diagrams
Diagrams are necessary for explaining complex concepts, breaking down information which would be verbally long into a focused image that is quick and easy to digest.
These diagrams were created for several science books for children and young adults, and an educational poster - both in English and Spanish.
The colors and the style relate to the design of the books, and are meant to be very child friendly, making the material appear approachable.

Most of these illustrations are based on standard/existing concept diagrams of key physics concepts in aerodynamics and fluid dynamics,
two fields covered a lot by the educational non-profit Iridescent (thus the blue colors).

Some diagrams are project specific and, as a result, have been created from scratch by putting various pieces of information together:
Ioana’s independent research and information from science advisors.
