These conceptual public art proposals were created to test a variety of ideas.
Most of the time, they belong to a particular call for art by a certain city or creative organization;
other times, Ioana decided to volunteer her designs to justify wanting to spend the effort in free exploration.
One project, the bike racks for Nashville TN, was only open to artists residing in TN,
but she decided to develop her ideas anyway, as practice.

A certain romantic thread can be found in all the projects:
whether they touch upon ecological ideas, such as those for the nature preserve;
whether they come to life in the shadows created by the woven parts of an installation;
whether they are emotive such as the large rose sculptures emitting operas,
or whether they simply embody an established representation of romance, such as the illustration of the couple kissing.
