Out a belief that art needs to serve the (general) public foremost, these art exhibits have been held in public spaces as much as possible. Television shows and commercials represent a virtual public space.
An exhibit at the Hollywood Public Library even called for viewers’ participation by asking people to come up with names for the paintings.
The goal is to put art into everyday environments and lifestyles, to make it accessible to people who might not realize they have an interest in it until they encounter it... in their daily path.
These exhibits span two types of art: 1. left-brain open to interpretation bio-organic narrative watercolor paintings; 2. right-brain educational science art. Though seemingly different, both of them serve the same main goals: to stir the imagination and to create curiosity.
